Portland-based
Marc Bowen Productions ventured 300 miles instate to rural
Baker County to shoot a 13-minute economic development video.
The corporate and commercial production company also
staged a public forum in the area in April for approximately
500 people where the county's overall strategic plan was reviewed.
Although Producer/Director Bowen
works consistently with Associate Producer Rick Botz, he generally
draws upon local talent to crew his projects. "The
production market in Portland is pretty full; there's a lot
of people and a lot of good resources," he says. |

Marc Bowen Productions has handled numerous jobs for Columbia
Forest Products, a manufacturer of hardwood veneer plywood and
a client since 1983, including marketing videos and employee
communications pieces. Bowen recently flew to Iowa, Wisconsin,
southern Oregon and California to gather footage of Columbia
Forest Products' mills and customers at their furniture-making
plants for an eight- to 10-minute employee training video. Bowen
and Botz partnered in 1989 to form 2-B Productions, an enterprise
which facilitates business theater. They company handles theme
development, staging, entertainment, sets and props, talent
and event direction, as well as all phases of production at
different sites to document an event.
2-B Productions handled logistics
for the 2000 ADP President's Club in Dublin, Ireland, an annual
meeting of the company's top salespeople. In addition
to complete planning and organization of the event, Bowen and
Botz videotaped the activities on DVCAM and edited a 10-minute
video reprise. The two have begun preparations to coordinate
the firm's 2001 event in Kona, Hawaii in August. |
